Movie Review: Venom: Let There Be Carnage
Just when you thought comic book movies couldn’t get any worse, they did. This time with Venom: Let there Be Carnage. The back and forth with Venom and Eddie was annoying. Venom was annoying and all up in Eddie’s face always getting the last word, no, every word in while trying to make Eddie look like he was crazy. Mrs. Chan was also idiotic and then there’s Ann, she has no clue when to joke and when to get serious and Woody Harrelson’s role as Cletus Kasady was irrelevant.
There were a few good moments but they fizzzled out very quckly and the way they killed Cletus’ girlfriend was horrific, the way they killed her off was like that minataur in Mortal Kombat Annihilation. That was awful but the black woman who played Cletus’ wife was hot. Now she was beautiful and better looking than Ann. This movie was too much in your face. Nothing to excite or wow me. It was all over the place and the humour was incredibly stale. Too bad. I wasted my time seeing this. Poor job Marvel and Marvel studios.
