Movie Review: The Lion King (2019)
I watched the original movie seventeen years ago but looking back in the 2020 version and I have to say that this version, the 1993 version was miles better than the 2019 version. This is good but the actors, and slightly actors version was better than the 2020 version. The actor who voiced Young Simba, Johnathan Taylor Thomas, Nala, Beyoncé and the rest was superb was greater. I loved this movie yes, but it pales in comparison to the 1993. The story-line wasn’t better than the 1993 version.
I almost cried in 1993 but I didn’t even come to any some sort of tearing up. The fact that they used a gay animal to voice one of Simba friends was just to prove an openly gay audience is just there to say that Hollywood has gay’s backs. The movie as I said was good but I prefer the 1993 but I prefer the original. Too bad I feel disgruntled. I’m glad that I didn’t see this movie in theatres. I would have wasted my money.
