Movie Review: Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker

Okay, first of all, I have to confess. I am not a Star Wars fan and I’ve never watched a Star Wars movie from start to finish. I saw, “The Force Awakens” for most of the duration but never saw the last eight minutes of the film nor the first fifteen. I love science fiction and although I watched the whole movie, “Rise of Skywalker,” I was not feeling it. It was over-hyped and underwhelming. DamianMichaelMovies reviewer was spot on. It didn’t wow me. The woman who played Rey was pretty but no curves and a flash chest. I love my women with something on them, not just a pretty face.

I don’t know the relation between Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia. I thought they were brother and sister twins but at the end of this movie it seems as if they were a couple. Plus Adam Driver’s character seemed confused and he and Rey kissed passionately. I know that his dad was Han Solo. It’s great to see some emotion between the two, Adam’s character and Hans Solo even if it was late and basic.

The light sabres were fully utilized and CP3O got his memories back after R2 reprogrammed him to accomplished a set of tasks for the team but C3 is a lame character. Maybe Star Wars fans will disagree. But that’s why I am a fan of Star Trek, the other star instead of Star Wars. I could never get what made the original Star Wars from the 1970s so popular even decades after the second sequel. The story was boring and seemed to stall.

This movie lacked substance but I did enjoy certain parts and the graphics were awesome. Other than that, I recommend you see this one on cable or blu-ray.
