This has to be the most low key, action deficited Marvel movie since 2010’s Iron Man 2. Peter and MJ finally get together and Spidey’s pal gets a hot, smoking hot grl on the very anticlimatic journey. It’s essentialy about Peter gathering the courage to ask out MJ and tell her the truth. Next thing the class at Pete’s clasmates go on a trip to Europe, hence the title, “Far From Home.” Nick Fury pushes Peter to be the next Iron Man or Tony Stark. I think it pushed it to the limits and Peter, after a defeat as to go about finding himself. Mysterio, the villain is from a parallel earth. DC ripoff anyone?

Anyway Mysterio’s out to conqur through a series of drones which helps him cause havoc in Europe and the US. He pretends to be Peter’s friend and played reverse psychology on Pete just so he could steal Stark technology. There were plenty of good punchlines but by those of Marvel crumbled easily. Tom Holland is a great actor but the jokes weren’t there, not as much as we’d expect from Spider-Man and Tony isnt there to backup Spider-Man. Let’s see what is in the Marvel pipeline for the next phase.
