Movie Review: Justice League Dark
Watching Justice League Dark was like pulling teeth and I should know, I pulled two today at the dentist. It starts off with enchanted citizens of Gotham and Metropolis running out and about and being possessed by magic and end up killing others, and I’m talking about law abiding citizens.
One woman almost killed her baby because in her mind and her eyes she gave birth to a demon. If not for Batman the baby would have died but the mother leapt from a roof and killed herself.
Constantine had to enlist the help of Zatanna, a magician who earns her living using her magic to entertain and she loves to wow the crowd and maybe have them coming back for awesome shows, just like David Copperfield does but with Zatanna, it’s all real.
Constantine is betrayed by an old frenemy but is defeated by Constantine. Now the Justice League’s Superman, Wonder Woman and Green Lantern appear to alleviate the situation.
It’s got a good story-line but poor execution. Sure DC’s movies are superior to Marvel’s animated, that is, but this one sucked and it was only 75 minutes. Lame!
